the National Institute of statistics and census of the Republic Argentina (INDEC) unveiled the inflation experienced in our country in the month of July. According to the Agency, it was 3.1%; lower than the June (3.7%) but higher than 2.1 percent from May.

According to the agency report, the sectors that most increased in this period were transport (5.2%), recreation and culture (5.1%), equipment and maintenance of the home (4.2%) and food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.0%).

 

Comparing with the same period in 2017, the annual rise was 31.2%, while the inflation accumulated so far for the 2018 amounts to 19.6%.

According to the measurements of the INDEC, the year began with 1.8% inflation. The month suffered more increments was June (3.7%) and the least, January.

For his part, President Mauricio Macri long declined to promote the inflationary goal of 15% and acknowledged that, on the other hand, it will be 30%.
