Morelia, Michoacan.-in order to continue to maintain the order in the public spaces of the first picture of the city for the enjoyment of citizens and tourists, the head of the management of the Cultural heritage of Morelia, Juan Carlos Mata Garcia, considered it necessary to continue actions to preserve the appointment as Cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO, said in a statement.
Mata Garcia said that Morelia is not within the list of cities at risk of losing his appointment as City Cultural heritage of humanity, but this has been thanks to numerous efforts to enforce the Municipal side in this regard and actions they must be in that line.
He recalled making approximately 18 years, host of the first picture of Morelia were invaded by the informal trade and today it is necessary to take measures to not return to that situation, which may put at risk the mentioned appointment that today generates an important tourist image for the city.
“These are situations that start out as something small, but that if left to drift can cause one major problem that may affect the appointment of UNESCO which is an achievement and pride for all the Morelia,” said the Manager.
Also called for all the Morelia to collaborate with the care of the historic centre and the fulfillment of their Municipal side, to make their purchases in well established trades, which with proper control, thus not only street shops they invade the streets of illegally but that the origin of their products can not be verified.
