in the early hours of Thursday residents of the municipality of Tultepec was assaulted by municipal police officers, State and federal once they carried out an operation for confiscate illegal fireworks in six buildings, of which 4 were secured.
The Secretariat of public security of the State of Mexico, Maribel Cervantes, explained that even in one of the revised property, the elements were attacked by stones despite the fact that authorities had orders of search warrant.

“In the searches found illegal pyrotechnic material, in homes where there is no authorization of Civil protection, the Institute of pyrotechnics and Sedena have to handle this kind of material, which poses a risk to the population” said Alejandro Gómez Sánchez, Prosecutor of the State of Mexico.
The Prosecutor’s Office shared the images of the confiscated material. At the end of the operative Tultepec residents gathered in the main square of the town to denounce abuses committed by authorities during the searches and requested the intervention of the municipal government.

Tultepec, Jilotepec and Acambay are listed as the State municipalities with more explosions by the existence of workshops and clandestine markets of pyrotechnics.
The incident with more losses arose from December 20, 2016 San Pablito, Tultepec market: 42 people were killed and dozens were injured.
Despite these facts the proliferation of sweatshops in these municipalities continues, so that municipal and State authorities have begun with dismantling operations.
