Jakarta–South Korea will seek to establish before the end of the year a permanent and irreversible peace with Korea in the north country that technically remains the State of war, according to said the South Korean President, Moon Jae-in, to the Indonesian press. According to Moon, the North Korean leader, Kim Jong – un, would have committed to denuclearizing the peninsula and establish a permanent peace between the two countries. The South Korean President told him before meeting with Kim from the 18th to the 20th of this month in Pyongyang, at the third Summit between both to further strengthen ties and work on the denuclearization of the peninsula, as stipulated in the first meeting in April. The South Korean President said it will take all necessary measures to promote the relations between the two Koreas, between Pyongyang and Washington and accelerate the process of denuclearization. The two Koreas remain technically in a State of war since the conflict in the peninsula between 1950 and 1953 ended with an armistice.
