on 28, 29 and 30 September will be held the first fair of the feminist book “Lila 2018” that will include with versatorios, workshops, book launches and projection of films directed by women.
The date is confirmed the participation of publishers “Own room”, Publisher forge, La Komuna, Editorial Palinode, cutwater publishers, Penguin Random House, fashion and people, Ceibo editions and from Argentina ink lemon, Traficantes de sueños, Hekht, Milena Casserole and the Zebra, among thirty participants who will gather at the Centro Arte Alameda.
The fair will be inaugurated by poet and visual artist Carmen Berenguer Friday, September 28 at 12:00 hrs, on the same day that commemorates “Day by the decriminalization and legalization of the abortion”, reason by which will be exhibited “Vessel”, documentary on the Dutch organization of abortion ‘Women on Waves’.
During the fair, which will last three days and will be open to the public, will be also screened films “Hannah Arendt” of Margarethe von Trotta and “The strange” of Feo Aladag and will take place the release of “separata” of the journal Nomadias, edited by Kemy Oyarzún and submitted by Eugenia Prado Bassi and Juan Pablo Sutherland.
The event is an initiative of the lavender library, first feminist bookstore in the country, founded in 1984 by Jimena Pizarro.
The fair has the collaboration of the gender programme of the University of Chile, the network Amanda Labarca, La Morada woman House, the center of studies of gender and culture in the (Cegecal), the Chilean network against violence against women , Centro Arte Alameda, Goethe Institute and the program “Flying feathers” of the Radio Universidad de Chile.
