civil society organizations broke the agreement they had with the Commission of national security (CNS), headed by Renato Sales, charging lack of transparency in processes as budget management, formation of elements and disciplinary processes.
Cause groupings in common, Mexico United against crime, Mexico evaluates, citizen National Observatory and the national network of professionals in public security said the termination of the agreement with the CNS for the implementation of the mechanism Citizen of transparency.

This Convention was agreed in 2016, when civil society organisations sought to improve and make transparent the internal processes of development of the Federal Police.
The objectives were to assist in the identification and correction of administrative, institutional and systemic failures, as well as detection of replicable good practices.
This is to create bonds of trust between the CNS and the society and informing the population about the results of the actions of the public security institutions.
They expressed their willingness and interest to resume exercise with Andrés Manuel López Obrador administration and implement a monitoring mechanism to be effective and in which the parties can meet its objectives.
