following the announcement of President Mauricio Macri on foster the initiative to benefit tenants, the Minister of the Interior, Rogelio Frigerio, confirmed in speaking to Radio Mitre that the Government is pushing a new rent law.

Why a new rental law? According to Frigerio: “We must order the increase in rents, which in many cases is monthly”.
“Updates have to be half-yearly and be linked to inflation and wages.”
“It is an act of Congress. We encourage ordering mechanisms whereby rents are adjusted”.
“Certainty must be given to who have to rent in the Argentina”.
“We are ordering and trying to relax issues complicating access to housing”.
