the Studio 20th Century Fox, in collaboration with Google, used an artificial intelligence to analyze movie trailers and try to anticipate what kind of public appeal each. The goal is to recognize if the productions whose trailers have structure, objects, and similar elements will share audiences.
“Understanding the detailed composition of the audience is important for studies that invests in unreliable stories in the commercial,” the researchers explained.
The research began with a frame by frame analysis the advance of Logan. Although it is essentially a history of superheroes, James Mangold film deals with dark themes and an argument that should attract a slightly different audience.
