Uruapan, Michoacan.-fifteen days that avocado producers launched the movement for a better price, the supply chain begins to feel the effects; transporters, Packers, cutters and trade, have suffered collateral damage.
Uruapan is the world capital of avocado; in the aguacatera strip of produce about two million tonnes, of which about one million 520 are export. About 150 thousand hectares are cultivated here.
Two weeks that cutting this fruit is suspended, the production chain, i.e. more than 5 thousand cutters, more than 55 Balers and more than 1,000 carriers, have said and asked the different governmental institutions its intervention to that wakes the avocado cut.
