The jury composed by Andrea Obaid, journalist and specialist in dissemination of science, Susannah Buchan, prominent oceanographer, Eduardo Sorensen, underwater photographer, Jimmy Langman, journalist and editor of the international journal Patagon Journal, and Francisco Saavedra, prominent Chilean television presenter, had the difficult task of selecting the best.

The jury highlighted the quality of the received material, so Andrea Obaid, said “because in general all had very good level and portrayed the wonders of Chile’s beautiful way. They chose the best photographs of the categories: landscape/marine or lacustrine; flora and aquatic fauna; working in the sea, rivers and Lakes; Antarctic and subantarctic; environments and underwater photography.
The voting selected the 30 best images of this year, which are on display until December 2 at the Museum of the exploration R. A. Philippi, of Valdivia. Soon, the photographic exhibition will tour the city of Punta Arenas.
