in 2003, Bosnia was rebuilt after one of the cruellest wars in recent history. There was no music industry, few concerts were made and there was almost no space, so young people could develop cultural or political expressions. Amid this situation, a group of young people formed Dubioza Kolektiv and how it could be otherwise, was not a quiet birth: they broke forcefully demanding a place to tip of provocations.
The first self-titled album of Dubioza Kolektiv (2004) was received with an enthusiasm not seen since before the war. Its irresistible blend of traditional music of the Balkans with Ska, Punk, Reggae, Electronica and Hiphop seduced a village needed release. From then on his audience was multiplying and its power reached the ears of the bassist of Faith No More, Billy Gould, who from the album “Wild Wild East” (2011) signed them under their label, Koolarrow Records and began its global distribution.

Dubioza Kolektiv reach the Festival Womad Chile to present his latest album, “Happy Machine” (2016), which was inspired by the 2013 clashes in Turkey, the imprisonment of the founders of Pirate Bay, and the Syrian refugee crisis and the shameful European response. The album includes lyrics in English, Spanish and punjabi, and counted with the collaboration of Manu Chao, Ben Webbe (lead singer of the Welsh metal band, Skindred) and the combo catalan rumba and ska, the sticker.
