translated from Spanish: PAN urges the Government federal to intervene to free routes in Michoacan

Mexico-facing the serious impact to the productive sector of the country, the national action party demanded immediate and decisive intervention by the federal Government to release the railways in Michoacán, which are taken by the teachers of the national coordinator of education workers (CNTE).
Armando Rivera Castillejos, Secretary of Economic Affairs of the PAN, said that the Government has acted with indolence and complicity against locks that, until today, have caused economic losses of over 2,000 million of pesos to industry Railway and serious damage to the productive chain and the creation of jobs.
“There is absolute inaction from the federal Government on this issue, there is no rule of law. There is a clear pleasure of the Government, because it does not decide to act to release tracks. If it does not, it can be seen that impunity is a hallmark of this Government”, said.
Rivera Castillejos said that the incompetence of the Federal and local authorities to resolve the conflict of the coordinating teachers, puts total helplessness in those investing their resources to create jobs and wealth in Mexico.
He recalled that locks prevent 369 trains with more than 3 million tons of various products to arrive at their destinations, mainly to Nuevo León, Coahuila, Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, Mexico Valley, San Luis Potosí, Hidalgo, Michoacán and the city of Mexico.
He added that the promotion of the productive sector must be a priority for any Government, as it is an essential part to achieve the growth and development of the country.
