“Abuse by the United States and Canada of their rules of extradition is a serious violation of the legitimate rights of a Chinese citizen,” said the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Lu Kang. “This is a serious political event. Meng, daughter of the founder of Huawei, was arrested on December 1 in the Canadian city of Vancouver on his way to Mexico.
