True to his style, study Atlus announced the relaunch of the last game of the franchise person. As had been the case of person 4 Golden, the “final” for PlayStation Vita person 4 version, the company confirmed today that person 5 Royal, a “Renaissance” of the game released on PlayStation 4 at the end of 5 Royal 2016.Persona will come to the Sony console and n Japan on 31 October of this year and in the West for 2020. The original sold almost three million units since its launch, but apparently there will be reasons more to do with this new version.
Person is a series of role-playing games which is characterized by its adolescent ambience and its fusion of genres. It is partly visual novel, partly social Simulator and in part dungeon crawler (replacing the traditional catacombs by enormous interdimensional mansions full of demons). “People” are the alteregos of the protagonists, projections that live inside you, assist during combat and evolve depending on the relations of its host with the world that surrounds it. Person 5 develops in the current Tokyo and tells the story of Joker, a young man who is transferred to the Academy Shujin. There, along with a group of companions, they manifest powers and become the Phantom Thieves of Hearts (the phantom thieves of hearts), who must fight against demons that are the manifestation of the darkest desires of mankind. It is a complex game that, like the rest of the series, and it can take hundreds of hours to complete.
On the official site of the game Atlus offers a review by some of the new features of person 5 Royal, including new characters and locations, more powerful enemies and technical improvements (especially in the graphic aspect, since the original dragged limitations and) models of the PlayStation 3 version). The new characters are Kasumi Yoshizawa, a young woman who becomes the Shujin Academy in the same year in which the protagonist moves to Tokyo and it is unclear if it is friend or enemy; and Takuto Maruki, a school counselor who will become the new confidante of the Phantom Thieves.ademas the game will include what the study calls “The third quarter not counted”, an entire episode that was left out of the original and was recovered for this new version ; new areas in Tokyo to visit; new enemies that will force players to change their battle strategies; and a brand new set of suggestions (called “Status-Assist) that new players will help maintain the delicate balance between life of student and hero. Person 5 Royal will also incorporate new songs and will be optimized for PlayStation 4 Pro.
