Morelia, Michoacán.-The Board of Directors of the Party of the Democratic Revolution plans to convene a meeting on 19 May to discuss the change of leadership and the Secretary general of that political institute, in the face of doubts that still exist on the Subject, due to the new statutes of the party, this was explained by the local deputy PRD, Octavio Ocampo Córdoba.
He said that in case there is no formal resignation by the current leader, Antonio Soto Sánchez, otherwise it will be an extraordinary commission formed by five people, which rule. In case of submitting his resignation, elections will be made among the militants, but at the end of the campaign of Reaffiliation that contemplates the party inside the state.
He said that Soto Sanchez in his role as a local legislator, do not allow him to carry out his tasks in front of the PRD.
On the possible arrival of Juan Bernardo Corona Martínez to the leadership, he highlighted the former secretary of security as a “good letter” for his extensive experience and being one of the founders of the PRD.
Ocampo Córdoba said that the new leader is obliged to seek reconciliation between the PRD Michoacan.
