A clash between two street vendors near the faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UNAM left an injured person, while the alleged aggressor was detained.

In a statement, the National Autonomous University of Mexico said that the injured trader was transferred to Xoco Hospital, “where it receives the necessary attention”, while the detainee remains in the offices of the Public Ministry of the area.

“The classes and other academic activities in the aforementioned faculty are developed normally,” said UNAM.
Just last May 7th, students and relatives of the young Mariela Vanessa Díaz Valverde showed up at the faculty of Philosophy and Letters of University City, to claim that the authorities pay attention in the case of the student, disappeared from the Last April 27th.
“It is unacceptable that the faculty of philosophy is not providing them with tools for an investigation for their disappearance. We demand that immediately the authorities of our faculty are those who speak and act to find the whereabouts of our partner, “said students and friends of the 21 year old, who studies the second semester of the College of Letters Hispanic.
