López Obrador promised a new educational reform, to leave without effect the one that promoted in his government Enrique Peña Nieto, especially in the point that the permanence of the teachers in his office was not conditioned to his results in evaluations.
The PAN senator, Xóchitl Gálvez, said he would vote against the opinion, because the procedure for admission to the teaching service is ambiguous.

“Instead, the reform proposes that the admission, promotion and recognition of staff exercising the teaching, directive or supervisory functions will be carried out through selection processes, removing the opposition examination by a selection process,” he added.

The PRI senator, Beatriz Paredes, explained why her party decided to vote in favor.
