The former secretary of the PRI, Alejandro Gutiérrez, was sentenced to three years in prison by a court of prosecution, finding him guilty of the crime of embezzlement of 1.7 million pesos to the detriment of Chihuahua.
According to reports from the three-year-old reform newspaper, he was purged of the eight months and 25 days he was incarcerated during his trial, and will have a conditional conviction.

Gutierrez was acquitted of repairing the damage by the judges who integrated the court of prosecution because he returned the money.
In addition to his prison sentence, he was imposed a fine of 35150 pesos.
Alejandro Gutiérrez was found guilty by the attorney General’s office of the State of Chihuahua on 7 May, showing his participation in an act of corruption against the Treasury during the administration of former governor César Duarte.
