Arizona.-A woman from Arizona admitted to suffocating her 79-year-old mother with a pillow, the police said. Holly Brennan, age 46, was arrested on Monday in an apartment in Scottsdale she shared with her mother, Sharon Simmons, for several years. After asking a neighbor to call the police, Brennan allegedly communicated with the phone a few moments later and told a dispatcher who had just killed Simmons, the police said. Simmons was found dead later by the officers who responded in a dorm room inside the residence. The investigators said there was a history of domestic violence between the couple, as Brennan was arrested in 2017 for threats against her mother. One of the women’s neighbors also told the station that he saw Brennan, who he characterized as a “little bum,” to confess the investigators at the scene.
