The Secretariat of Public Education (SEP) reported that Monday students will return to school basic level, in public and private schools in Mexico City and metropolitan area, after the Environmental commission of the Megalopolis report on May 17 on the Suspension of the environmental contingency.
“The return to normal classes, includes the realization of physical activity and sports, as well as the development of the cultural and recreational civic activities in the open air”, detailed the SEP in its bulletin.
The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) also reported that on Monday its academic and administrative activities will be resumed in the metropolitan area of the Valley of Mexico.
Due to the high levels of pollution, the classes were suspended on 16 and 17 May, in the country’s capital and in Mexiquense territory.
This Sunday, until 11:00 hours, in Mexico City and Zona suburbs air quality was regular to good, with a maximum value of 86 points of particles 2.5, registered in the mayor of Gustavo A. Madero.
