The voluntary interruption of pregnancy (IVE) Bill was presented for the eighth consecutive time by the national campaign for the right to Legal, safe and free abortion. The simultaneous realization of pañuelazos in “more than 100 cities of the country”, the thousands of women in the street and also the accession abroad like Madrid, Berlin, Stockholm, Toulouse and San Francisco returns to this 28 of historical May. After a federal Pañuelazo, the launch began with a press conference at 17.30 in annex C of the nation’s Congress, which was aired on the streets by a giant screen and facing the gaze of thousands of spectators. On the International Day of Action for women’s health, the project was re-presented as part of an election year that confuses and makes the scene more complicated. While both the upper and lower house are the same as in August last year, when the project was first discussed in history and rejected by 38 votes in the Senate, the hope of both the campaign and the various sectors that are active in the Project, is that the outside, with all its contundecia, get, again, question and interrogate the representatives of the people. The call was massive and larger than previous years. Rivadavia Street exploded with women and dissidences who gave support, voice and scream to a clear order for legal abortion. After several workshops and activities, the references of the national campaign ended the day blowing the candle as a 28 May but 14 years ago, this organization was born.
