Los Mochis, Sinaloa.-Educational reform as a legal instrument to improve education is a topic that generates controversy between teachers. Through a survey of professors in the cities of Culiacan and Los Mochis, it was determined that although 56 percent of the replies were against such a claim, 41 percent were in favor. The October exercise was applied to 110 elementary school teachers in primary and secondary schools chosen randomly in different areas of these cities. For the previous education reform, there are different points that are perceived negative. The policy that was implemented by former President Enrique Peña Nieto Riders Gutierrez in management of public resources, efficiency and honesty, this according to 52 percent of the teachers assessed (question 3). While the recent changes and criteria of President López Obrador’s administration are perceived as good, such is the case of the real free education proposal, with 35 per cent approval (question 10); The consensus reform between parents and teachers, with 42 per cent approval (figure 11); and the varied content depending on the region, with 40 percent (question 12).
In an interview with THE DEBATE, Sixto Rosas, belonging to the Teachers ‘ center and the deputy Chief of Regional Services of the Ministry of Public Education in the northern Zone, explained that it is with secondary laws that continuous training should be strengthened: «Giving the Centers Of teachers the importance they must have for the development of training and the updating of the Magisterium, «he explained. As for the reform and suspension for teacher evaluations decreed by the current President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Rosas commented that it is a commitment that is being fulfilled: «I think the evaluation should be formative and not Punitive. Prior to evaluation, the teacher should be trained and develop updating strategies to develop a formative evaluation based on the guidelines defined by the secretariat of public education in coordination with The National Union of Education Workers (SNTE), «the teacher argued. Although 93 percent of the teachers interviewed reported not having received a penalty or penalty for the evaluations (Figure 2), they have a very bad perception of the reform of Peña Nieto, because on the affirmation the educational reform is an instrument To decrease power to teachers and unions (Figure 7), 63.55% agreed. The professors questioned by this publishing house responded positively to the cancellation of the same evaluation, since almost six out of ten determined as good the change of that system (question 9). Among the positive things that leave a very divided opinion is the evaluation as a means of promotion of posts in the SEP, because little more than half was agreed, with 52% (question 14). On the other hand, 54% of the results placed as good the change of the National Institute for the Evaluation of the Education (INEE) by the National Center for the revaluation of the Magisterium and the continuous improvement of the education (question 8). For the educator Rosa Carmina Anaya Soto, the problem related to the previous reform resided in the administrative burden that the teachers received, which in some way distracted them in their main objective: the teaching to the children.
It was too much work for the teacher, planning, very explicit evaluations, diaries, paperwork, things that were lost on the road and we forgot at a certain moment of the children, of the important, of the pedagogy», he argued for this medium.
He added that, despite considering the assessments as provided, of good objective, the way to evaluate was not indicated, because, he said, the essence of the work was not rescued. Criteria
In the face of questioning the professional teaching service as a transparent mechanism, the educators considered in the majority, with a 58% (question 4), which continue to present the same problems and vices of the old system; While 28 per cent noted that these issues have been shelved and it is a more honest public policy. They qualified for the service with an average of 7 points in scale of 10 (Figure 5). For the teacher Jaime Eugenio Miranda, autonomy or freedom of association is one of the main pending demands for the education workers and for the trade unionism in general: «It is probably one of the most dreamed demands by the workers. It requires a true transformation to the life of the unions. Unions, in general terms, have become an instrument of political control of the masses rather than a real body for the defence of Workers ‘ labour law, he said.
Poll sheds light on changes to primary education
Approving the corresponding degree only in the course of the school year implies a decision by the Ministry of Public Education, as stated by 58 percent of the citizens who participated in a digital survey conducted by this publishing house, Who qualified between bad and very bad the criterion. The defense of these changes comes from the Obrador administration. The Secretary of the SEP, Esteban Moctezuma, has described as an effort focused on integral education and to promote education to a bright future (https://bit.ly/2w382yB). « This is not a measure to make education somewhat lax, it is a matter of thinking very deeply about girls and boys, «Moctezuma stressed in a video available in his official Twitter account, which he described as ridiculous to reproach children in the first two years of Primary.
