As every year the conference of Ubisoft was full of color and music but unfortunately this year the show was not enough to compensate for the lack of content, in particular because several of the surprises that had prepared the company had been filtered during L Last few weeks. The game that more intrigued us left was Watch Dogs Legion, with its ambitious proposal, but who stole the hearts was Bam Bam, the dog of actor Jon Bernthal (yes, Ubisoft also had an actor on stage) who waited quietly while his owner finished his Segment. No doubt this will be remembered as the E3 of the unexpected guests.
But let’s forget the color notes go to the ads (do not include Ghost Recon videos: Breakpoint because they offered nothing new):
Ubisoft opened the conference with the strong plate. Watch Dogs Legion moves the series to a dystopian London post-Brexit in which the player is part of the organization hacker DedSec and must confront extremist groups that accumulate more and more power. The study ensures that we will be able to recruit any character from the vast open world and control it whenever we want — each with its own characteristics, personality and abilities. Taking advantage of the availability of members, death will be permanent: if we are eliminated during a mission it will be necessary to choose another member of the Organization to continue the game.
Watch Dogs Legion is a very ambitious game that will come to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia on March 6, 2020.
One of the great surprises of the conference was the announcement of a new series for the Apple TV + service. Rob McElhenney, the creator and protagonist of it’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia will star in the show, which uses the format mockumentary (The Office) to tell the story of a studio video game developer working on the first major expansion for his Successful massive role-playing game. No release date yet.
Although the Roller derby is not a popular sport for these lands, the new Ubisoft Montreal game draws attention because it feels a mixture of the competitiveness of Rocket League with the aesthetics and business model of Fort. Roller champions puts two teams of three players each to compete in a track to score the greatest number of goals. The game will be free when you leave in 2020 but throughout this week you can try on PC downloaded from the official site.
The team behind Assassin’s Creed Odyseey is working on a new project that looks very different from what we know from the studio but continues to explore Greek mythology. In Gods & Monsters we will interpret a young God who is trying to save Mount Olympus from the attack of monsters. It will be an open world game that seems to be inspired by more than one aspect by the magnificent the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
The French company adds the new trend of subscriptions with its own service that will offer for fifteen dollars a month access to more than one hundred games in its catalog and all new future releases. The interesting thing is that the subscribers will be able to play the “ultimate” editions of the Ubisoft games, which usually cost more than one hundred dollars, so for the fans of the company is a great offer.

Uplay + will be available from September 3 but those who subscribe before August 15 will have the first month bonus. The company also confirmed that the service can be hired within Google Stadia from next year, to play all games without the need for a PC.
During the past year, Ubisoft launched an event in Rainbow Six Siege called outbreak in which players were to face hordes of infected. Motivated by the success of the event a new team developed Rainbow Six Quarantine, an experience for up to three players focused on the cooperative mode that the company defines as “a game of action and first person survival by teams” — which sounds a lot like Left 4 Dead or the most recent World War Z and Warhammer: Vermintide 2. It comes out in 2020 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
In the absence of a new splinter Cell the favorite spy of all Sam Fisher will return in Elite Squad, a new game for mobile devices, that brings together heroes of several company titles, like the Division, the mentioned splinter Cell, Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six. According to the Elite Squad company is a “mythology-based military role-playing game” of those games that will offer real-time combat with weaponry and upgradable equipment.
