translated from Spanish: AMLO to move to National Palace as soon as her son finishes primary school

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador confirmed today that in the coming weeks he will move to the National Palace once his youngest son finishes primary school and is on vacation.
“Yes, we will live here once the school year is over, which (my son Jesus Ernesto) finishes primary school, because where we live now is close to school,” López Obrador reiterated at his morning press conference.

The representative detailed that he will inhabit “an apartment that was built during the government of Felipe Calderón and maintained with Enrique Peña”. He said it has a living room, dining room, kitchen and three bedrooms.
“We are already preparing to change,” he added, noting that general cleaning and painting are underway. The president ruled out beefing up his security once he lives in the National Palace.
López Obrador did not specify the date of the move, but the official school holidays begin next July.
Consultation for revocation would be in 2021
With regard to the consultation on the revocation of the mandate, the President raised the possibility of the mandate being held on Sunday, March 21, 2021 after the opposition refused to hold on the same day as the interim federal contest.

López Obrador commented that with his proposal he seeks to “not spend any more” in the elections, so if it is not accepted that the exercise will take place on the same day as the election, the approach is that it be brought forward by the indicated date.
He said that the consultation would ask citizens if they want the president to continue or to resign, “that would be a good day and even moving forward.”
The opposition dismissed any possibility of approving the constitutional reform in terms of popular consultation and revocation of the term of office raised by the president, which is registered to be addressed in the plenary session of the Senate, during the extraordinary period will take place from this Tuesday, June 18.
