Uruapan, Michoacán.- A smoke grenade that was carried in a suitcase exploded in the luggage rack of a bus of the company La Línea, an event that fortunately left no victims to mourn, according to the information confirmed by the Secretary of Security Public Procurement (SSP).
In this regard, it could be known that on Monday by the Calzada Benito Juárez was transiting a bus of the company in reference, when at the height of Chiapas street in the colony Francisco J. Múgica, located in this city of Uruapan, there was an outburst in the trunk of the ci unit.
In the face of what happened the driver of the passenger truck stopped the march and when he opened the luggage rack he realized that something had exploded inside a suitcase, an instant when he requested help from the emergency number 911.
Elements of the Michoacan Police and the Ministry of National Defense arrived at the site. State agents guarded the area and the military inspected the suitcase in question, so they realized that the explosion was due to a smoke grenade.
This was ratified by the SSP on its official Twitter account (@MICHOAC SSP), in which it stated verbatim: “Elements of the #PolicíaMichoacán along with the @PoliciaFedMx and the @FGR_Mich, immediately addressed the detonation of a smoke grenade in the luggage carrier of a bus, in #Uruapan; no injuries are reported.”
Government voices detailed that the bus was destined for Guadalajara, Jalisco. The investigation folder was initiated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office with the aim of clarifying the fact.
