Luis Enrique had already been absent in part of the tour of the Spain national team for personal reasons and this time the decision seems to be final. After confirming his departure, former Barcelona presented a letter to the Spaniards about his decision. On this new decision, in place of the former DT of Barcelona will take over Robert Moreno, current aide of the field in the national team and that at 41 years of age he will have his first experience as coach of a first team.

Luis Rubiales, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, spoke publicly about the decision of former Barcelona. “Luis Enrique communicates that he will not continue as a coach. You have very much respected this situation, you will continue to respect it in the same way. I have to thank Luis Enrique, he’s been ten with the Federation. It’s always going to have the federation and selection doors open.”
