Morelia, Michoacán.- In the state and the country a more incisive social policy is required in the timely detection of cancer, said the president of the Michoacana Association for The Aid of Children with Cancer (AMANC), María de Lourdes Salinas Garduño.
In a press conference to publicize the Association’s 15-year celebration event, he said they were working on a project of guidance on cancer arrest with schools and the Ministry of Health.
He also invited the dance-dinner that will take place on Friday, July 12 at 8 a.m. at the Convention Center at an event, called “A Summer Night.”
 
In this regard, Isabel Echagaray Zubiría, member of the Board of Trustees, detailed that on this occasion the donation will be a thousand pesos per person, which includes dinner and a glass of wine at the Convention Center, in addition to enjoying classic rock and roll music with the Adlibitum quartet, a performance with the group Sangre Latina and DJ Javier Loeza.
The organizers and participants of the event called on the municipalities to come and support the association to gather an average of 300 thousand pesos that will largely be to strengthen the activities of the Association and that the small abandon their treatment.
It is worth mentioning that for 15 years AMANC has cared for 762 children, 112 From January to May 2019 and 31 children are currently in treatment, including a 9-month-old.
Salinas Garduño pointed out that leukemia remains the main type of cancer that attacks the little ones, so it is important to identify symptoms such as underweight, some spot, a ball, fever, among others, for this, the Association also works in a campaign along with schools and the Ministry of Health to guide early cancer identification.
He commented that the Association had also provided 432 primary care, a thousand 781 foods and 31 pantries.
Most of the supports are for children from Uruapan, Zitácuaro, Apatzingán, Zamora, Pátzcuaro, Ciudad Hidalgo, among others, so the call was made mainly for municipalities.
AMANC provides support in lodging, food, psychological, educational, tanatological support, medication, laboratory study support, clothing and footwear.
