Economist José Luis Espert remains a presidential candidate after Miguel Angel Pichetto negotiated UNIR’s exit from the Awakening Front, or at least that of its leader, Alberto Asseff. “We are convinced that the Awakening Front will be able to compete, so all this is going to turn into a bad time for all those working on this project. There is a huge betrayal of Mr Asseff to do everything possible to get down to the UNIR Party, which leads me as a candidate for President,” Espert said.
“I accuse the government of President Macri, Senator Pichetto to do everything possible so that I cannot compete, operating on the people we were talking to, like (Dario) Loperfido, whom was suddenly swallowed by the earth and then appeared in the Rosada House. Now there is an advance on The Ucedé,” the pre-candidate said. In dialogue with Radio Mitre, he continued to point out against the Government: “There is a government operation to take out legal gears so that the Awakening Front cannot compete,” considering that officialism is interested in the 7 or 8 points that polls give to their Space.
In order to prevent them from getting those points, Espert accused Mauricio Macri of heading a “light proscription attempt” against him.
