Morelia, Michoacán.- In order to offer a broad agenda of around 500 activities for children aged 6 to 16-year-olds, the social cabinet of the Morelia City Council presented the courses “Summer of Welfare”, which will start from July 8 to August 30 different headquarters, including the rural area of the municipality.
Sports, cultural and recreational activities, mostly free of charge, will be available at venues such as: 10 Welfare Centres; Public squares; 5 Holdings, Capula, Saint Nicholas Bishop, Tacícuaro, Morelos and Athecuaro; The Morelian Youth Institute; The Municipal Library; the Ludoteca of DIF Morelia and; Sports Units highlighted the secretary of Welfare and Social Policy, Roberto Reyes Cosari.
In the company of the director of the Secretary of Culture, Cardiela Amézcua Luna, the councilor, Maribel Rodríguez Alvarez, the director of DIF Morelia, María Elena Silva Montes, as well as the Moreliana Youth Institute and the Municipal Institute of Physical Culture and Sport, Reyes Cosari recalled that such workshops, sports clinics and recreational activities will be available for children, young people from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 hours in the different municipal areas of the aforementioned units.
For its part, the head of the Ministry of Culture of Morelia, Cardiela Amézcua, stated that culture activations will be held as part of the “Summer of Welfare” in the city and holdings, some playful such as jenga and chess giants, others, workshops, guitar, encouraging reading and interaction as dance performances and concerts daily and weekends.
