translated from Spanish: SUTICATMI complains for seven months of grievance at JLCA

Morelia, Michoacán.- Members of the Single Workers’ Union of the Training Institute for Work of the State of Michoacán (SUTICATMI), took the premises of the Local Board of Conciliation and Arbitration before the arrears that are generated to update their bylaws.
According to SUTICATMI leader Osiris Heras, for seven months they have been waiting for the updating of the statutes.
“We made observations which we solvent and yet, under an incongruous argument it denies us our statutory reform, it is worth mentioning that President Hill Arturo del Río and his adviser Mario Hernández have sought economic benefit by making deals to not to give legality to our statutes, when the highest authority, our general assembly has already approved them,” he said.
They also denounced the persecution of workers seeking to join SUTICATMI, “since it is the Conciliation Board itself informs the other union, not respecting free association and union autonomy”.
On this, the director of the campus, María del Rosario Cruz García, pointed out that they have had no interference and respect the actions that the union carries out, as long as they do not hurt the activity of the institution.
