This Thursday 27 at 17, in Plaza Fuerza Aérea Argentina of the neighborhood of Retiro, will be held the reopening of the Monumental Tower, known as «Torre de los Ingleses», a monument donated by the British residents in Argentina, and from july 1 you can to be visited by the public, with the possibility of accessing its viewpoint, located on the sixth floor. The reopening of the tower involved a building conditioning and a value that includes the repair and commissioning of the elevator, and the refitting of the service area of the first floor, incorporating an office and renovating the bathroom. In addition, there will be a photographic exhibition of the old neighborhood of Retiro on the ground floor and an artistic intervention on the windows and walls, anticipating the view from its balcony on the sixth floor. The «Tower of the English» is a neo-Renaissance style work lined with a combination of red bricks and carved stone that was inaugurated on May 24, 1916 and integrates a set of great heritage value in the neighborhood of Retiro, along with the stations terminals, the Kavanagh building and the Paz and San Martín palaces.
