The news of a micro that carried a group of retirees from the city of Mendoza to the Termas de Río Hondo and who overturned in the vicinity of La Madrid, in Tucumán, this morning shocked the country. While more information is waiting on the victims (so far they would be 13 dead and 45 injured) the images of the rescue efforts are rapidly viralizing.
In one of the most revealing videos you can see how rescuers outwork the victims and even take a person inside the bus out on a stretcher. Two people are also displayed seated, who could be in shock. Meanwhile, the person behind the camera adventure: “I don’t know how many chairs will be, ten, eleven.” By the end of filming, an older lady can be seen talking on the phone informing: “They took her to the hospital because her hip hurts.”
Another short clip spread provides a broader picture of the overturned vehicle and the work of firefighters. Meanwhile, the delegate of Mendoza’s National Transport Regulation Commission (CRNT), Fernando Corvalán, confirmed that there were 58 people on board the micro and that he had all his documentation up to date.
