Mexico.- Federal police officers who have been fighting against joining the National Guard from Wednesday received images of trades sent by Internal Affairs to ask the various divisions to report if their staff had been absent July 3 and 4, and whether they had participated in the protests and road closures of those days.
In the face of this, the spokesman for the dialogue table said that negotiations could be broken. The dialogue continued with the presence of the Undersecretary of Security Ricardo Mejía Berdeja, who has ensured that they will maintain the labor rights of the police. Animal Político asked the Security Secretariat whether an Internal Affairs investigation had indeed been ordered, to which the social media area responded that “the document was left ineffective”.
During the day, Ignacio Benavente Torres, who had been pointed out by the Presidency as the leader of the movement, no longer attended, although in reality he always presented himself as president of a civil organization.
But a new lawyer arrived at the federal police facilities to defend police officers who are still unhappy with the agreements achieved by the original representation: Enrique Carpizo, of a civil association called Instituto para el Protección de los Human Rights A.C.
