Sinaloa.- At the meeting of the General Council of the Sinaloan Institute of Aquaculture and Fisheries, its director general Maribel Chollet Moran presented a work report for the period February-June of this year. The wide range of activities carried out during this period highlights a series of collaboration agreements that strengthen and contribute to the goals set by the Institute.

These collaboration agreements have been signed with SIPINNA, COEPRISS and FACIMAR. The first of these with the aim of carrying out projects that assist in the comprehensive protection of the rights of children and adolescents in the fishing and aquaculture communities; the second, aims to maintain and maintain health quality with the Mexican Program of Health of Moluscos and Bivalbos of the State of Sinaloa; while the third Convention will allow for the joint development of projects for the genetic improvement of tilapia.” Within the framework of sustainability we have had working meetings with Inapesca establishing important agreements that respond to the needs and concerns of the fisheries sector.”, continued Maribel Chollet.La managing director of Isapesca detailed before the Council, participation in a series of fisheries improvement workshops, such as: the Fisheries Management Plan in the Integral Altata-Ensenada System of the Pavilion; the Research Protocol for the monitoring of the Fisheries Refuge Zone and the Altata-Ensenada chocolate clam Fisheries Improvement Project of the Sinaloa Pavilion 2019.It should be noted that, in this period, a series of cross-cutting actions have been carried out linkage with various agencies, including Ismujeres, Ceprevsin, Conapesca in addition to governing bodies such as Town Halls and Sectur.In their actions, Maribel Chollet Morán and his team have made multiple monitoring and follow-up visits to check various programs and projects on farms and units; highlighting, among many others, the Ocean Shrimp laboratory; Southern growers in Chametla, municipality of El Rosario; the visit to Agua Nueva de Abocho in Elota; meetings with the Action Society in Sinaloa HAPPENS AC; the Association of Sweet Aquaculture Producers in Culiacán and Tilapia breeding center “El Salto”. Special mention deserves the four requests for the creation of fishing refuge zones; both in Celestino Gazca, municipality of Elota, for the stone oyster; in Altata, municipality of Navolato part of the clamla chirla and the callus of axe; and in Santa Maria La Reforma, for the oyster of pleasure.
