Morelia, Michoacán.- In a statement the municipality of Morelia reported that by identifying tourism as a fundamental factor for the development of the municipality and its communities and requesting the support of the federation to enrich the project that is currently applies in this area, the municipal president of Morelia, Raúl Morón Orozco, closed his participation in the First Session of the Consultative Council on Tourism of Michoacán.
Sharing a stand with the head of Tourism of Mexico, Miguel Torruco Marqués, Morón Orozco, stressed that Morelia has gradually consolidated with an increasingly competitive destination and that he has in his appointment as a City Cultural Heritage of Humanity, which since 1991, its best cover letter.
Not in accordance with the above, in these months of his administration, the Mayor has promoted a strategy to boost tourism, through different factors, which has brought them better results, supported by numerous activities and festivals.
The planning promoted by the City Council, consists in the attention of issues such as security, for which he created the Tourist Police of Morelia; the generation of tours of artisanal workshops of various holdings, as well as others such as connectivity, promotion, new products and infrastructure.
For his part, the federal official stressed the importance of Michoacán as a tourist destination for the country and ensured that important actions will be applied that stimulate greater economic spillage and thus contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of its Inhabitants.
