Last Monday night, Iván Lugo Serrano, a fifth semester medical student at Universidad Panamericana (UP), died after being the victim of an armed robbery in the State of Mexico. 
Ivan was leaving a gymnasium near his home in Ciudad Satélite, in the municipality of Naucalpan, when he was assaulted and assaulted with a firearm.

According to Televisa News the student was intercepted by the assailants as he boarded his car, parked a few feet from the gym. 
Still alive, Ivan was taken to the Lomas Verdes trauma hospital where he later lost his life as a result of his injuries. 
The fact was confirmed by Dr. Gregorio T. Obrador, director of the faculty of Health Sciences of the UP, who mourned the death of the young man. 
“We deeply feel his death and accompany in sorrow his family, colleagues and friends,” he wrote in a letter.

The Mexican State Prosecutor’s Office initiated an investigation folder and analyzes security cameras located in the area in order to find him or those responsible.
