The Tax Administration System (SAT) inrecent in past administrations debt to former President Vicente Fox Quesada, according to presidential sources consulted by the newspaper Reform.
The medium highlighted that three of its companies, without specifying names, on the verge of bankruptcy, were rescued with public resources. However, the amount was not disclosed as it was confidential data.

Meanwhile, the SAT said it had identified “a tax credit by a former president of the United Mexican States, for income tax and value added tax.”

This Friday, July 19, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said he had information that “some of the former presidents owe taxes, but it is a matter that has to do with the SAT”.
Questioning him by the name of the ex-staff, López Obrador said it was a matter of the SAT to make it known “because of the issue of the laws of banking secrecy.”

“What I can tell you is that it is legally proceeding against all tax evaders, whoever they are, against all,” he said at his lecture.
Hours later, journalist Raúl Olmos published part of a civil service secretariat (SFP) file that noted that Fox omitted millionaire income from his tax returns.

“You see how they were so demanding in saying, ‘And what does the opponent AMLO live on?
