The Guanajuato Prosecutor’s Office reported the murder on Saturday in Celaya of a Criminal Investigation Agent and his daughter.
On their day off, agent Gustavo Adolfo Moreno López and the minor were in a playground in the Campo Azul colony, when they were attacked by unknown subjects.

“We repudiate this cowardly attack and stand in solidarity with our partner’s family. The Attorney General has instructed the Specialized Homicide Investigation Unit to lead the inquiries to identify the offenders and bring them before a judge to face justice for such vile aggression,” the Guanajuato Prosecutor’s Office said , in a statement.
“At the scene, criminal experts have collected ballistic evidence and other elements that are part of the investigation to clarify the facts and identify those responsible.
The State Attorney General’s Office will be reporting, to the extent that it does not jeopardize the investigation, the progress of this fact, endorsing its commitment to society to investigate and bring criminals to justice to be punished,” he added.
