The federal deputy of Morena, Dolores Padierna, will present to the plenary of the Standing Committee of the Congress of the Union a reform to the Organic Law of the General Congress, so that the political force with an absolute majority is maintained in the presidency of the House of Deputies, for a period of three years.
At a press conference, the deputy vice-coordinator of the Board of Directors in San Lázaro indicated that on Wednesday it will propose to add to the number 7 of Article 17 of the Organic Law, and if this reform is approved the deputy Porfirio Muñoz Ledo, of Morena, would continue as President.
This reform was described by the panist deputy Juan Carlos Romero Hicks as “undemocratic, extemporanecally and unwelcome”.

According to the current law, in this second year of the LXIV federal legislature corresponds to National Action to chair the Board of Directors, because it is the second force in the Chamber of Deputies, and the third year would be the institutional revolutionary.
“The law That I propose is not for us, is to adapt the law to the reality that citizens voted on July 1, 2018. That reality was defined by the very citizenry,” Padierna said on Tuesday.
It’s not a “tailored suit” by Morena, Padierna said, “on the contrary, it’s removing the suit to the extent that three minorities made in her favor, and swapping that tailored suit so they’re determining the ballot boxes.”
In 2006, he said, the Organic Law was reformed to recognize that the Board of Directors of the legislative body would rotate between the first three political forces consecutively, declining, thus addressing the reality in which no party had the majority, and the majority had only 41% of the curules.
In doing so, he said, it ensured that three minorities had participation in the camera administrative bodies, as well as that parliamentary agreements were reached and spaces were given for internal governance.
“Today no incentive or prebenda is needed to reach consensus or parliamentary agreements, the 2006 reform is no longer justified, it is necessary to adapt the Organic Law to the new reality, the initiative I present seeks to ensure the governance of the House”, Justified.
He added that it is also intended to ensure that when a political party has an absolute majority “as it leads the Board of Directors and maintains it during the three-year term of the legislature, ensuring that in the event that in the future in the next or subsequent legislatures no force would reach an absolute majority, the rotation of the table among the minority forces is followed.”
To say dolores Padierna, this proposal does not limit participation or political plurality within the House, but recognizes the value of votes and citizen participation.
