López Obrador detailed that the 544 athletes participating in Lima will receive 240 thousand pesos that will be delivered in a single exhibition, as soon as they return to Mexico, so that they will decide how to distribute it.
That means about 130 million pesos, the other 20 million pesos, he said, will be used to provide additional stimuli.
“Everyone is going to get 240, 000 pesos, at the rate of 20 thousand pesos per month, for a year,” he explained.

There will be an additional stimulus for Mexicans who got a medal: 40 thousand pesos per month for gold medalists, 35 thousand for silver medalists, and 25 thousand for bronze.
The President indicated that the government would not administer the athletes’ resource as the delivery of support would be from the Federation Treasury to the beneficiary and administered by them.
Prior to the Pan Americans, several athletes complained because there was a reduction in the amount of their scholarships from 6 thousand to 2 thousand pesos.
The Conade said that this resource would be maintained until the implementation of the second phase of the restructuring, which will be until after the Pan American Games, depending on the results.
