“We feel that the Court of Appeals of Valparaiso is giving us reason, we are complainants, that is why we appeal to the release that the Guarantee Court has made and today we are satisfied and of course, that we will persevere until we have the convictions that this is appropriate,” the spokeswoman said.

Minister Pérez also referred to the controversy that generated the case between the Executive and the Judiciary and said that “we as a Government, respecting the rulings, but having the right and duty to have an opinion we will continue to do so, because we believe that the fight against delin it has to be all of us.”
“What we have pointed out from President Sebastián Piñera himself is that we do not share, respecting indeed in a rule of law the rulings of the judiciary, often the spirit of these, because we feel that they do not interpret the law and that has happened, for example, in this case that is so emblematic,” the spokeswoman said.
The head of the Segegob further stated that “we claim the right and duty of the President of all Chileans, to have a critical opinion in the face of the ruling of certain judges that we believe do not fully interpret the spirit of the law, which often does not they end up finally having criminals greater rights than the victims themselves.”
