Morelia, Michoacán.- Through a statement it was reported that the Morelia City Council, with the private initiative of the tourism sector, the hotel occupation in the city has maintained a positive inertia in this first year of the government of the municipal president, Raúl Morón Orozco.

The head of the Ministry of Tourism, Roberto Monroy García, (holder of the tourist policy of the municipality) indicated that thanks to the promotion that has been given to Morelia with the events of national and international size has been able to have an influx of tourists that has benefited the hotel sector resulting in 100 percent occupancy in historic downtown hotels in seasons such as Night of the Dead.

He emphasized that the instruction of the municipal president, Raúl Morón, is to enhance tourist events such as Semana Santa, Noche de Muertos, era decembrina, summer and continue with the support of national and international fairs and festivals.
 
These stocks have allowed to maintain a positive trend in hotel occupancy reaching 57.7 percent during 2018, so this 2019 is expected to reach up to 62 percent.
