Culiacán, Sinaloa.- The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sinaloa is in the integration stage of the first data that the lines of investigation are laying around the five cases of intentional homicide recorded in Culiacán, in which toy carts were left in the Victims. With regard to the persons deprived of life, this constitutional autonomous body reports that in its entirety they have already been identified and handed over to their families.
This Sinaloan Prosecutor’s Office confirms that in no case involving victims of crime do acts that violate human rights or the principle of the presumption of innocence, let alone the dissemination of information that leads to prejudgement and/or re-victimization, this with regarding the speculation generated by the similarity of circumstances and characteristics between the five cases, particularly evidenced in different media. With regard to the last of the victims, located on the night of Wednesday, August 7, the deceased person was identified as the same person that appears in a video that went viral in previous days so it appears to be a case of vehicle theft , whereas until the morning of this 8 August no complaint was received with an agency of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.At this stage, in particular these intentional homicides, there are various cases of investigation, so all the information and all the lines derived from the same actions will be corroborated by researchers, public ministries and experts involved in each case. It was also established that the five victims are domiciled in this city of Culiacan and none record criminal records in the State Public Safety Information System database. The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sinaloa calls on Sinaloan society to assist in strengthening respect for the rule of law and a culture of legality, in which any possible crime is duly reported to the competent criminal authority, and thus bring to a judge the alleged or alleged perpetrators.
