Culiacán, Sinaloa.- In order to share experiences with various municipal and state bodies in road safety, sustainable urban mobility and project design the Secretariat of Mobility and Public Space and its owner Antonio Godoy González Vélez and the Directorate of Sustainable Mobility in charge of Nadia Figueroa, the Government of Morelia went to the city of Culiacán and thus respond to the call for work in synergy with other town halls.

The link for this action was the Municipal Planning Institute (Implan) of that city and the visit consisted of the delivery of a workshop addressed to the Directorate of Mobility and Transport of the city of Culiacán, the citizen organization Mapsin and the State Council Sinaloa State Accident Prevention to share the methodology implemented in the analysis and diagnosis of intersections, roads and elevated pedestrian bridges. During the exercise, a field visit was made to make an assessment to a conflict point in the city where the methodological tool was put into practice. In the exercise, elements of Municipal Public Safety and the Department of Road Education were added.

Subsequently, a meeting was held with the municipal president of Culiacán, Jesús Estrada Ferreiro and his cabinet, in which the insurance steps program was addressed. The Implan, with some of its directors, showed the progress of the municipality in regulations, actions and projects related to programs of the Morelia City Council headed by Professor Raúl Morón Orozco and who has guided the development of them in the field sustainable mobility, which are worked on from the work of the Secretariat of Mobility and Public Space.

To end the day, a meeting was held with the Undersecretary for Urban Development, Efraín Leyva and Said Osuna, director of Sustainable Urban Mobility of the Sinaloa government to learn about the public bike program that drives the state administration of Sinaloa, Muévete Chilo, which already has a first stage in Mazatlan and will soon be implemented in the cities of Culiacán and Los Mochis.
