Alabama–It’s been five years since one of the most heinous crimes shocked the Cullman community in Alabama, USA. Baby Hoss Wayne Benham was one year old; no one imagined he would be the last and his parents would be responsible. The baby’s mother, Crystal Ballenger, and her partner, Jeffrey Hugh Brown, had arrived at Cullman’s hospital with the child with no vital signs in his arms, claiming that he had drowned in the bathtub.
However, when forensic doctors performed the autopsy, they discovered that the truth was much more heinous: the baby had 89 wounds all over his body, 38 of them to his head and neck, as well as having burns to his feet and wounds on his genitals. The news became even more chilling when it became known that baby Hoss had been sexually abused by his mother and stepfather.

Experts determined that the baby died after being subjected to severe physical torture and sexually abused by his own mother and stepfather, who turned their last 36 hours of life into a real hell full of pain and suffering. In light of the investigations, the couple of assassins eventually confessed that they were responsible for murdering the baby, and that they tested positive for anti-doping. Crystal and Jeffrey were charged with the offences of aggravated child abuse, torture, sexual abuse and capital murder. After the autopsy report was known, Cullman County District Attorney Wilson Blaylock came to seek the death penalty for the couple. However, it has been five years since the heinous crime and his sentence is just to be known. The trial was scheduled against him for this month, but his lawyer managed to postpone the date, which for now remains undetermined.
