Young people between the ages of 15 and 29 who are unemployed reported having two main occupations: being students or engaging in household chores, however, the percentage is different depending on whether male or female.
There are 30.7 million young people in the country between the ages of 15 and 29; that is, one in four people in the country is young (24.6%), according to INEGI. 
Of these, 13.3 million young people between the ages of 15 and 29 are considered in the Non-Economically Active Population (PNEA). They are joined by the 16.7 million that if they have a job

84.4% of men in this age range – who do not have a job – are students and only 6.7% are engaged in household chores. 
While in women 54% attend chores and 43.3% are students. 

If analyzed by age ranges, we see that as men get older the number of students is reduced, however it remains high. 
88.2% of men aged 15 to 19 say they are a student; in the range of 20 to 24 years it drops to 80.8% and in the 25 to 29 years it decreases to 48.3%.

In women, the activity that develops the most is to engage in household chores, and as age increases, so does the percentage of young people who do it.

29.6% of those aged 15 to 19 are engaged in this activity on an unpaid manner; in women aged 20 to 24, 63.5% do so and by reaching the 25 to 29 age range reaches 92.6%.
Of the 16.7 million young people who did have any jobs, 66.8% are employees, 14.0% are self-employed and 7.4% are day laborers or pawns.
