Morelia, Michoacán.- Through a statement from the Morelia City Council it was reported that the program “Together Iluminando Morelia” promoted by the municipal president, Raúl Morón Orozco, is consolidated as an unprecedented initiative for the capital of by generating significant savings in electricity consumption and transforming the city into a safer place.
According to the last receipt to July from the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), the cost for the service was 9 million 932 thousand pesos, representing 6 million pesos less compared to the period December-January 2018.

With this savings, Morelia implements an ambitious strategy to optimize resources with the replacement of luminaires throughout the city, by placing saving bulbs with better technology.
In addition, the resource spared will strengthen social actions and develop public works without compromising local finances through debt, under which the programme operates on a fully municipal budget.

It should be remembered that so far, “Together Illuminating Morelia” has intervened 45 thousand luminaires in 500 colonies of the city, to give a better face to the municipality with streets, squares and public spaces, safer for recreation and family coexistence.
