International Festival of Literature and Inclusion of Conception – FILIC
On Tuesday, August 27 at 19:00, the first version of the International Festival of Literature and Inclusion of Concepción, with the work of national and international artists, and a program of activities that include talks, workshops, conferences, guided tours, theater, music, among others, all open to the community of Concepción. 
The meeting is organized by the team of the Municipal Library of Concepción, managed by the Social and Cultural Corporation of Concepción, SEMCO, and aims to promote the literature of the country, with special focus on local creators, in addition to promoting equal opportunities, echoing the stated in Law 20.422 regarding the universal design of the programming that has been prepared, with the aim of contributing in local dynamics by enhancing the nexus between writers, users of the library, public in in this way, enhancing Concepción as a cultural epicenter of southern Chile. 
From 27 to 31 August, from the facilities of the Library, FILIC is installed with conferences will have a varied list of writers, among which stand out names such as José Carlos Agéero, historian, Peruvian writer and National Prize for Literature 2018. From Argentina the illustrator and editor Hernán González. Among the national writers are names such as Carlos Ulloa, blind writer; Gonzalo Frías, a philosopher and driver of the 7th vice; Nona Fernández, writer and actress. Representing the city are the names of the poets Omar Lara, Damsi Figueroa and the writer Muñoz Coloma. 
Parallel to each activity, a fair of independent publishers of Concepción will be held, which will allow to stimulate the circulation of local creators. 
An important axis of the festival is the Library’s Technological Infocenter, as its operation makes it possible to include the visually impaired public in the activities that 
form the program of each day, in addition to strengthening the Braille collection with various texts of the authors that will participate in the FILIC. 
The Festival is a project funded by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage through the Book Fund, in the line of reader promotion. Call 2019. 
The production and management team consists of the historian and director of the Library, Boris Márquez; Alfonso Ramírez, general producer of the festival; Osiris Pulido, production assistant; Carlos Navarrete, cultural manager; Daniela Zapata, finance; Omar Lara, general advisor and production; Reveko de la Jara, universal programming advisor; Blanca Contreras and Elizabeth Martinez, Braille translation; Siegfried Obrist and Javiera Aguayo in graphic design.
