Guamúchil, Sinaloa.- Today is celebrated the Day of Grandfather in Mexico, a date that they take advantage of to strengthen family ties and enjoy healthy coexistence, because today, they seek more than anything to have fun and feel that they are useful for their families, mainly. The representative of the Inapam club in Salvador Alvarado, Hilda Pérez Giusti, expresses that being a grandfather is more than being a father, because based on what she has lived and the experiences she has shared with other grandmothers, so she feels, “it is a very beautiful emotion”, she says.
He adds that currently the grandparents want to feel useful and independent, “I have young grandparents there in the Inapam and I have grandmothers already 80 years old and they are very active”.
He also mentions that the grandparents who come to the club enjoy a lot of activities such as singing, dancing, physical activation, although in what they do notice that it is not much to their liking, it is in the courses that the Icatsin teaches them, but nevertheless they have shown interest and have taken ido cooking courses, fabric painting, embroidery, among others. Physical activation for them is very important, and although they have already danced all the time before starting, they are still very participatory, “it is what they like, the fandango, and what better than today that today is Grandfather’s Day, that they have already prepared their party”. For her part, the director of the DIF System, Gabriela López Iribe, explained that there are about 260 grandparents enrolled in the Inapam club, where they develop a series of activities including trips to the DIF camps, which have already been made in Cancun, Bucerías and Puebla, “they are always active, the truth that is enviable the energy and desire that they have to remain independent people”. In addition, he expressed that being a granny and belonging to this club is a plus, because they have an enviable energy that even opmanists the young.
