Xalapa, Veracruz.- The Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) requested the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR) to attract the case of the bombing of the “White Horse” night centre of Coatzacoalcos, with the purpose of conducting a thorough investigation under the context of omission that has so far been held by the procurator of justice in the entity. The petition recorded by the owner of the unit, Hugo Gutiérrez Maldonado, warns that the event that occurred on Tuesday is not isolated, since last July four attacks had arisen on establishments in the same city, with fires perpetrated by unknown persons.
It should be remembered that, on July 16, the bar “La Catrina”, located in Hidalgo street corner with Matamoros, of the Benito Juárez colony, was set on fire by alleged armed subjects; on the 18th there were two attacks, one in the business “Integrales Cuisine Williams” and the other in the “New Millennium” car lot, where criminals set fire to a vehicle; subsequently, on the 23rd, the bar “Los Mangos” was attacked, located on John Spark street, corner Aldama and Galeana.La SSP regrets that in the face of the seriousness of the events that occurred in just one month in the city, the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has remained on the sidelines d (e) investigation, which shows an institutional omission. Finally, it makes available to federal and state authorities all information related to such events, to assist in their enlightenment and to ensure truth and justice for the victims.
